Bert NEVER does anything half way. Which is one of the things I love about him. His cars are no exception. This is his 1965 VW bug that is fully restored. No, we don't drive it... well, not far at least.
This picture was taken as he was driving around a Polo field. Yes, a polo field where horses run and people hit little balls with big long sticks. Bert was invited to show his car before the Chucker started - that's polo talk for game.
Last year he showed his car at 19 car shows and came home with 26 awards. He ALWAYS wins first place in his class. Last year he came home with several "best paint," and several "best of show" awards.
This year we have been so busy he hasn't gone to as many shows or the shows have changed. This weekend we were going to Memphis but now the show has been postponed. Bert is VERY sad. So is his car.
