Jacqulin sings with the Middle school worship band... for the last time.

This has been a great experience for her. They led worship Wednesday night, June 29, 2011 for the last time until school starts back. However, Jacqulin has realized that she has too much on her plate and will not be able to sing in the band next year.

I think she really will miss singing but I'm very proud of her for evaluating her schedule and being aware that she has to have some time to rest. They really did sound great.

Sweet kids home from church camp.

Both kids left for the same camp on Monday, June 20,2011 at 5:30 a.m. and got home Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. Bert and Deborah stayed home and found out that they still love each other madly and will be fine with an empty nest... as long as the kids come to visit on occasion.

Bert's car shows again and wins BIG!!!

It's almost a joke now. Bert goes to a car show just about every weekend from Spring to Fall.... okay that may be an exaggeration but probably twice a month. Saturday, June 25, 2011 he found a new show. It's always a challenge when he sees "FIRST ANNUAL" on an announcement. There could be a bunch on knuckleheads trying to throw together a car show and it be a dud or it could be great fun. This show was a First Annual Cars for a Cause show raising money for breast cancer. Big chance of storms added to the excitement. The show was at the Williamson Cty Ag Expo about 5 miles from our house. So, he came home (early, because rain was coming) with first in the Classic Car Class and Best of Show. He had this gigantic trophy, an Ipod shuffle, $25 Itunes gift card and dinner for 2. I will encourage him to support breast cancer research more often.

Street musicians in downtown Franklin --- WAIT!!! that's my kid.

Downtown Franklin is a quaint, historic little town that has quite a hopping night life. It's a great place for a family to hang out and be entertained with frozen yogurt, a newly restored movie theatre and street musicians.

Luke and his friend, Ben, have been playing some tunes on Friday and Saturday nights. Making a little cash too. I'm so proud of them for even trying this. They have some regulars that come and sing along.
Tonight there was a little girl, about 5, with her dad and they were dancing all over the place.

Great weather to take the rust-mobile for a spin too.
