At our house you are allowed to declare Birthday Week!! a couple days before and after the actual day of your birth. You get special treatment, good food, out of obligations and who knows what else.
This week is CRAZY for us. Wednesday morning Luke left on a school trip to Crow's Neck Environmental Center in Mississippi. Jacqulin and I were scheduled to walk 28 miles down the Natchez Trace with the entire 4th grade. However, due to severe weather it was postponed until Monday and Tuesday, May 12 and 13. Her actual birthday is May 12th.
What a disappointment. Jacqulin can't exercise her birthday week rights by declaring what's for dinner on the birthday night if she is spending the night with 70 kids in an old school gym.
So, tonight we allowed Jacqulin to choose her birthday dinner. One of her favorite places to eat is Red Lobster. It's a hard decision for her between chinese food and Red Lobster. The crab legs won!!!
Luke missed the big dinner and we know he will be sad but he will benefit from other birthday week celebrations.
