Bert's birthday was actually yesterday, September 29th. He hasn't even declared "bithday week priviledges" yet. Probably because we are so accomadating. Right?
We did go out to dinner on Friday night with his dad. Saturday all he wanted to do was work on his car. He is almost finished with the restoration of a 1965 VW bug. It's beautiful.
Then last night on the actual day, I actually convinced him he could take off work a little early. He stopped working around 4:30! That's great because he usually works until at least 6:00. But alas, Luke had a ball game at 6:30. We grabbed a quick dinner and then after the ball game we celebrated with banana pudding!!! Woo Hooo! It wasn't homemade but "Bar B Cutie" was almost as good.
I'm glad God let us have him for another year. We really love him.
